‘A Garden of Peace’ Retail Concept and Experience in BOXPARK, Shoreditch by NASO AT HOME (October – November, 2023)
A Garden of Peace

Inspired by Lonnie Liston Smith. We created a calm, immersive retail sanctuary designed to contrast the fast-paced, high-energy environment of BOXPARK. The experience centred on peace, intentional living, and sensory wellbeing, inviting visitors to slow down and reconnect with themselves through space, scent, and design.

Rather than a traditional shop, it functioned as an experiential retail space—blending:
Curated home décor and fragrances
Wellness-led products
Thoughtful, lifestyle-driven storytelling
Customers didn’t just browse—they engaged with the brand’s philosophy of “living well at home.”

Part of a broader in-person shopping series, “Garden of Peace” contributed to:
Community-building moments with diverse, global audiences
Conversations around creativity, home, and wellbeing
A wider programme that spanned multiple cities and continents over 15 months.
The space emphasised:
Scent (candles, essential oils)
Visual calm (minimal, earthy, curated aesthetics)
Emotional connection (rest, reflection, comfort)
This made it feel more like a temporary retreat than a retail pop-up.

“Garden of Peace” helped establish NASO AT HOME as:
A modern lifestyle brand that focused on experiences, not just products bridging retail, wellness, and creative community spaces.

The Factory, Dalston
NASO AT HOME’s “Garden of Peace” retail experience at The Factory in Dalston (Nov 2023) evolved into a hands-on, community-led extension of the brand’s experiential retail concept—blending shopping, creativity, and wellness in a more intimate, workshop-driven setting.
The space combined a curated retail pop-up with interactive making sessions, where visitors could:
Explore NASO AT HOME’s home décor and fragrance collections
Participate in candle-making workshops
Engage in pottery workshops, connecting directly with the craft behind the products
This shifted the experience from simply buying to learning, creating, and personalising.
A key feature of this Dalston edition was its educational and participatory nature:
Guests were guided through practical craft processes
Emphasis on slow making, creativity, and mindfulness
Encouraged attendees to take home not just products, but skills and experiences
This aligns with NASO AT HOME’s wider workshop model, which focuses on step-by-step creative learning and self-expression.
Set within a creative East London venue, the experience fostered:
Closer, more personal interactions with visitors
A sense of shared creativity and community building
Cultural exchange between African design perspectives and London’s creative scene.
While maintaining the signature “Garden of Peace” calm aesthetic, this edition leaned into:
A studio-like environment rather than a traditional retail space
A blend of wellness, craft, and design storytelling
A deeper emphasis on process over product.
